Motor Legal Protection
If you are involved in a road traffic accident that was partly or wholly the fault of the other driver, Motor Legal Protection could help you recover some of the uninsured losses.
If we deem it worthwhile that you pursue court action we can pay up to £100,000 (including VAT) towards legal costs. This also recovers the cost of personal injury compensation, alternative travel arrangements, and loss of
earnings amongst other things that are not covered by our insurance policies.
We can also pay up to £100,000 for legal costs to help defend the customer for a motoring incident.

Car Hire Benefit
If your car is stolen and not recovered, or we agree it is a total loss, you will get a similar sized hire car by the end of the next working day for up to 21 days while we process your claim.

Personal Injury Cover
In the event of death or serious injury, we’ll pay up to £100,000 if you (or any named driver) are at fault, or up
to £30,000 if not.
A brief but not exhaustive breakdown of what Personal Injury Benefit covers you for:
Death – £100,000 (Fault) or £30,000 (Not at fault)
Permanent total disablement – £100,000 (Fault) or £30,000 (Not at fault)
Loss of (or loss of use of) one limb - £100,000 (Fault) or £15,000 (Not at fault)

If your keys are lost, stolen or damaged, you can call our partner the RAC who will:
Retrieve your keys if they are accidentally locked in your car
Take you home to get your spare key
Replace the car keys and reset the alarm/immobiliser
Replace the lock if your key breaks inside and is not retrievable
If you can’t get back on the road the same day overnight hotel accommodation up to £200 for you and up to eight
passengers can be provided in necessary circumstances.

If you misfuel your car you can call out our partner the RAC who will get you back on the road in no time at all, we will pay or reimburse you for:
Transporting you, your car and up to eight passengers to the nearest suitable garage within the RAC network
Costs involved to drain and clean the fuel system
Replenishing the fuel tank with 10 litres of fuel*
Hire car to complete your journey, up to £150
Reimbursement of £25 worth of fuel, on presentation of receipt

Your car’s registration number
The location of the incident
The name, address, telephone number and registration number of anyone else involved in the accident.
The name, address and telephone number of any witnesses.
Even if you don’t have all of this information, it’s important to call us immediately so we can guide you through

Once your claim is registered, you can confidently leave everything to us – we'll arrange the recovery of your
car, the repair work at one of our recommended repairers, and we’ll give it a clean before returning it to you.

The Home Emergency claims team are very experienced in providing help to homeowners in times of crisis. Simply
call the home emergency number, and give your name, address and postcode and the nature of the emergency. They
will then arrange for a local reputable contractor to come to your home and carry out emergency repairs. One of
the advisors will call you to confirm the details of the appointed contractor, and the time of their visit. No
need to call around for quotes or to find dependable tradesmen – one call to the home emergency helpline, day or
night, and help is at hand. Before requesting assistance, please check that the circumstances are covered – please
refer to the policy for terms and conditions.

Make a travel insurance claim
Below is a summary of how to make a claim - please take time to read the full claim section in your Policy Booklet
when you receive it.
You'd expect a company like esure to have a first class claims service and you'd be right. Call our claims team
and we'll take all your details in minutes.
Keep your policy details safe and take them with you when you go on holiday. You'll need your Policy Booklet if
you have to make a claim.
Make sure you have your policy number with you when you phone.
When you are away:
If you're in an emergency where you need medical treatment, please contact us on 0871 789 4326 when you are
hospitalised, require repatriation or where medical fees are likely to exceed £500. You'll need to get a medical
certificate if you wish to make a claim.
If you're claiming compensation for theft, mugging, loss, damage in transit, travel delay or catastrophe, you must
get a written report from the relevant authority. Please keep any receipts that will support your claim.
